You need a Technical Advisor (CTO).
You just don't need one full-time.
Assembler AI provides fractional CTO services for non-technical founders and SMB operators. Senior technical judgment, on the decisions that matter, at the cost that makes sense.
The gap
The gap between your ideas
and their implementation.
The distance between your abstract ideas and a dev team's technical implementation can often be significant. That gap widens over time as your business grows, your technical needs become more complex, and the original team you hired is no longer around. The result is a growing distance between your vision and the reality of what's been built.
Does any of this sound familiar?
Did you pay someone to build something and have no real way to know if it was any good?
Is your business running on a process that lives entirely in one person's head?
Have you tried AI or automation and had it just never deliver anything useful?
Who we are
It's Byron and Tom. Your Tech-sperts.
We've built SaaS products, built and led dev teams onshore and offshore, consolidated data, and everywhere we have worked we were the ones that got called in when things went sideways. We started Assembler AI because we keep seeing the same thing: smart entrepreneurs with no one technical in their corner. We can be that.
Byron Georgiou
Co-Founder, Technical Architect
15 years of building and shipping. Byron led engineering at PlanHub, ran his own consultancy for 9 years serving businesses worldwide, and has worked across distributed systems, AI architectures, large-scale integrations, and cluster computing. He's been the person called in when something isn't working more times than he'd like to count. He thinks in systems and explains in plain English.
Tom Harrington
Co-Founder, AI Engineer & Data Scientist
PhD physicist turned AI and data engineer. Tom spent years at Nielsen building systems that processed hundreds of billions of data points, holds 5 patents, and has led data science teams through full product lifecycles at enterprise scale. He architects the intelligence layer — ML pipelines, real-time data platforms, and agentic AI systems that turn raw business data into something you can actually act on.
How we work
One problem at a time.
Solved completely.
Most consultants show up with a long list of things to fix. We don't. We've found that focus is the thing that actually moves the needle. Everything else follows.
Understand your business first
Before we touch anything, we need to know where you are, where you want to be, what's working, and what isn't. We don't start until we have this picture. No assumptions.
Find the one thing
We identify the single problem that, if solved, connects directly to revenue or cost reduction. Not a wish list. One thing, chosen deliberately, with your input.
Solve it completely
We build the simplest effective solution. No overengineering, no scope creep. We ship it, make sure it actually works, and hand it over properly.
Rinse and repeat
Once that problem is solved, we find the next one. This is how good technical decisions compound. One at a time, in the right order, without breaking what's already working.
The way we work
Just getting started.
Knee deep in a tech nightmare.
Either way, our first job is to understand your situation, not sell you something. We'll meet with you, ask the right questions, and give you an honest read on what we see. We don't charge for this.
We've found that the best way to earn trust is to be useful before we're paid to be. If we're the right fit, great. If we're not, you'll still leave with a clearer picture of where you stand and what to do next.
You have a team
We lead and guide them. Technical direction, developer oversight, and the judgment layer your team is missing.
You want to build one
We help you hire right. Brief writing, candidate vetting, and making sure you don't get sold a bad fit.
You want to learn
We teach as we go. You understand what's being built and why. Not a black box you hand off and hope works.
Just get it done
We execute. Tell us the outcome you need. We figure out how to get there and build it.
